Why I Run
I have been interested in international development for as long as I can remember. When I was seventeen, I had the amazing, life changing opportunity to live with a family in Kenya. The picture that I took home of Africa, was not that of impoverished, helpless people, but communitites of hardworking, smart and innovative people.
I am running to raise money and awareness to fight extreme poverty and to help EWB change the way the average Canadian may see Africa: from impoverished and helpless, to a complex continent of 53 countries with people who are smart, innovative and working hard toward a better life.
