Why I Run:
Hello Friends and Family!
R2EP has a special place in my heart for several reasons. First, being part of the R2EP team ties together two things I love --- being active and learning about international development. Second, R2EP has introduced me to a community of compassionate and courageous leaders and social entrepreneurs who have made a lifelong commitment to "being the change they wish to see in the world". Third, the funds raised go directly to an organization I believe deeply in, helping Engineers Without Borders continue to make a positive impact in Africa.
I am both honoured and privileged to have been selected as one of two Professional Fellows from Vancouver for 2011. I will be going overseas with EWB this August. Every dollar we raise as the R2EP Vancouver City Team will directly support the programs that Mark Ware and myself will be contributing to this fall. I look forward to sharing my experience with each of you, and hope that we will have some incredible conversations over the coming months.
